Hi Carol, The only academic is they reinforce spelling and Justin can
write his own notes to me thru a different speech program called
Intellitool talk which is actually can not be expand for a blind kid.
during 90 mins the YVI do powercord drill which is like braille n speak
except it needs computer screen and talking program so you can not carry
it around it is not mobile and she said she does not know what is braille
n speak....which already has speech built in. At the end of whatever
letter she ask for justin to type and he responds then she turned on the
rap braille songs which play for 10 mins. Justin is very smart some
spelling he self taught himselve and he loves to rhyme. He is extremly
capable of learning , during week day when I come back from work I do some
braille reading and questions answers and role playing games, I also do OT
PT with a ball, he self feed himself with very minimum assistance. On Sat
while I go to work , Clearbrook assistant Ng, came in and do all of the
above plus she give Justin piano lessons reinforcement, do stimulation
exercise such as swing, go upstairs downstairs, when weather cooperate
then they go for a nice walk to the park and listen to children play and
Justin would swing endlessly. They have great chemistry and she is very
caring, God must have send her to Justin because he knew Justin needed
this outlet, it is not good for Justin to just be with his parents. All my
sisters and brothers, mom live in Texas and California so I never really
have any help nor support, I did all alone, cooking since Mike and Justin
enjoys my authentic Asian cooking,go to two jobs, train staffs at my
clinic, write Journal about Justin's life, go to support meeting such as
autism, puberty problems with your child etc.... when I come home do more
routines with Justin, keep up with my braille lessons by typing up the
printed stuffs and lessons sent from Justin's school and go over with him
during weekends. I am exhausted yet I can't rest ....there is so much to
do with so little time. Justin is my angel, my guiding light so I will do
anything for him.
Hope I did not bore you with such long respond.

With high regards and tremendous respect,

Wishing you and your family the very best,
