This all makes sense to me, and I think it makes my point better than I did 
that we have to watch very closely the quality
of the braille that comes out of NIMAC until such a standard is in place.  I 
believe we need a stated commitment from
BookShare on this if they are going to be a conduit for K-12 schools.  At 
there very least, there needs to be a statement
that the braille output may need additional formatting unless there is more 
going on behind the scenes than is commonly
known.  I do not want to see all progress in this area stopped because it is 
a key to getting texts faster, but I don't want
to see the issue of formatting and diagrams lost to get books into the hands 
of kids requiring less lead time and expense.
