Thanks for the encouragement Joy! We KNOW she's wrong. And we know he's
gearing up for reading. He tries to spell ALL the time. And sometimes he
gets the beginning letter or two...that's how the stuff begins....what an
exciting journey we are all on!

Just a thought--remember that the medical person is not necessarily an
expert in education and learning. We don't take advice about car
maintencance from a dentist, even if he is a great dentist and a really
smart guy. If your son is pretending to read, he is getting ready for true
reading, and that shows you are doing the right thing with the labels.
