[blindkid] transcribing time

Dear friends,
Where can I find an estimate of the time it takes to transcribe materials to
braille? Is it even possible to estimate the time needed for worksheets for
a third grader?
My child comes home with worksheets for math with lots of clocks,
thermometers, money, graphs, and more. Our transcriber in the district does
a great job on them.

We have an awesome transcriptionist who does a lot of work on her own time,
and I think the district ought to pay her for it. But I don't want to sound
like I am saying she can't get her job done in the time allotted. She works
hard and well. I want the district to realize they probably need to pay
overtime or hire a second person to cover all the materials that she has to
do.

Has anyone had this issue? How did you deal with it?
