Hi Sharon,

Have you gotten the developement of a great IEP with attaching what the
law said?

Here is what I know is the sequence which I did for my blind child.

1. Make sure the student has the most accurate Assessments (I.Q., Braille
reading and writing, Math Skills, Daily Living Skills, Cognitive
Developement, Social interactions, Learning Media - technology and many
more), ensuring that these assessments are from the Texas School for the
Blind, Illinois School for the Blind websites questionares0

2. List short term and Long term Goals in every areas listing strengths
and weaknesses.

3. The Related Services time and frequency of specialized personells visits

4. Every details of accomplishments are to be noted in IEP

5. Every important discussion must be written down and be included in
IEP, verbal services do not count and school districts do not have to
uphold it even if you got witnessess in the IEP meeting.

6. Always take important people pertinent in helping with collaborating
to write goals for IEP.

Thanks,

TE
