Vickie,

I'm afraid I don't know anyone in Florida.  I guess you've been in 
touch with the FL POBC and NFB folks?  Testing and evaluating our 
kids is a perennial problem.

Re a screen reading program, has anyone evaluated her for 
technology?  I would say that's usually the way the process starts if 
you are looking to get a screen reader through the school 
district.  The evaluation would show her needs in relation to school 
and transition (if she is old enough) and then the evaluator could 
make recommendations, both for the program and the computer 
specifications.  Here in NJ, the programs are installed in school and at home.

Sometimes local Lions clubs and other service organizations will help 
an individual child.
