I just want to point out that a school does not have the right to refuse to pay for an IEE if a parent requests one.  The school must either pay for it or has to file due process against the parent and convince a hearing officer its evaluation is appropriate and there is not a need for an IEE.

I got an IEE thru mediation (long story, but my district would not give me an IEE - they have that right) and I got the IEE for O&M. What a HUGE difference the eval made!!! The district's was 3 pages and there was no current observation of my duaghter (don't ask, long story).
