[blindkid] Bullying the blind

I think that you were very lucky that the parents did something to that
child.
What about those children that have parents that say they are just being
kids.
the other day a friend of my who is a teacher of blind students had one of
her children bullied. the sighted child went into a bathroom stall that he
knew that the blind child used. He locked the enside door and then crawled
out from under the door.
Of course some people wanted to have him using the faculty bathroom again.
I agree kids have to be independent.

Sincerely,
Melissa and Pj

All those things are awful. Talking to the principal and the
perpetrators' parents is right on. When I was 13, a boy in my class
sent me an email which stated rather explicitly that I used my cane
for sexual gratification. My father called the boy's parents and he
was grounded from the Internet for a month. After that he never
bothered me again. I suspect that if the parents hadn't gotten
involved, nothing would have happened.
