Hello,
I think Holly's comments are just what I would have said.

I also relate very strongly to you, Lalena, in the isolation and huge desire for my family to be part of mainstream experiences.  There is chronic sorrow attached to that.  Even though I don't think blindness is a tragedy, I wish things were different sometimes, for the sake of everyone in the family. Our daughter's additional disabilities isolate us from the mainstream.
