The National Library Service has a braille music division. They may have some resources for you. Hopefully you can find someone (or do it yourself) who will understand the music code and explain it to your son in a straightforward manner. We had a bit of a disaster with braille music but it really is straightforward--especially for beginners.

Dancing Dots (dancingdots.com) has a lot of resources--you must pay for their products.

He does have partial vision but it is not always accurate and so I wanted him to start off learning music in Braille as well. He has been learning Braille for a year now so Braille is not new to him. I also know Braille and his sighted brother has been playing piano for 4 years so we can work as a family to encourage him.
