The National Organization of Parents of Blind Children, a proud division of
the National Federation of the Blind, announces the release of our new
website, http://nopbc.org/<http://l.facebook.com/l.php?u=http%3A%2F%2Fnopbc.org%2F&h=cAQEodFpv&enc=AZM0dRQA3sYoNG0ISUit5qJlzevDbgRjfalrlaOPUyhS4Dgn7SVNdCx_M_Q3NqIRNynEb3T8cllj_DmtjSfFFoFgUM0b3h7HqK2nw98bNsg9uhblXIkKBJ7h0jjzUmwO8CwUZFUk36HrlcSQLzR6LHNh&s=1>

Do you remember trying to hunt down reliable information about blindness
and visual impairment when your child was first diagnosed? Are you not sure
whether a long cane or braille might be appropriate for your child? Is your
child asking what opportunities await when she or he grows up?

The NOPBC's new website can help you find answers to these questions. By
providing a straightforward, accessible, information-rich resource, we will
further our goal to create a climate of opportunity for blind children in
home and society. As a division of the National Federation of the Blind,
the NOPBC also believes this site will help families gain understanding and
perspective on blindness through partnership and contact with blind adults.

The site also offers secure on-line registration for the 2014 NOPBC
Conference, Taking the Next Step. The conference, which offers workshop and
hands-on learning opportunities for all ages, will be held Tuesday, July
1—Sunday, July 6, 2014 in Orlando, FL. Please visit the site for
information about the program and registration information.

We welcome your feedback on the site. Please let us how what you like and
how the site can be improved. After all, the site is here for us all!
