[blindkid] Speech apps for blind kid

Jonathan is blind and has a severe speech impairment (Childhood Apraxia of Speech).    We are working on augmentive communication with the UW Communications Aids and Systems.   They are working on speech programs for the iPad but are having trouble finding apps that are not focused on pictures, and work well with text to speech.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

I appreciate any advice you may have.
