The below research participant solicitation is being provided for

informational purposes only. The National Federation of the Blind has no

involvement in this research.

We are conducting a study that aims to examine how to better prepare

parents to effectively advocate for adapted physical education (APE)

services. To participate in this study you need to have a child currently

receiving special education services. This study involves completing a 5

minute online survey and participating in a 30 minute interview.

Both the survey and interview are confidential. While we will not request

your name, we will ask for some demographic information (e.g., gender,

race) and email. Because the survey and interview are on the internet, we

cannot guarantee that the data will not be intercepted by others, although

this seems unlikely.

If you have questions about the study, please contact the lead researcher,

Scott McNamara, at scott.mcnamara at uni.edu. If you have questions about

the rights of research participants, contact the UNI IRB Administrator at

anita.gordon at uni.edu30. If you are interested in participating in this
study,
