Subject: [SECT508WG] Nominations Requested for Presidential Awards for
Excellence in STEM Mentoring

Everyone,

From my membership on the Social Economic and Workforce
Implications of IT and IT Workforce Development sub-group of The
Networking and Information Technology Research and Development (NITRD)
Program I received information on this award and was asked to pass it
on.

NSF is looking for nominees for the Presidential Award
for Excellence in Science, Mathematics and Engineering Mentoring
(PAESMEM). The Awards, up to 16, seek to identify outstanding mentoring
efforts that enhance the participation and retention of individuals
(including persons with disabilities, women and minorities) who might
not otherwise have considered or had access to opportunities in science,
technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). Deadline for
nominations is October 5, 2011. The recognition is now open to all
individuals who are U. S. citizens or permanent residents and U. S.
organizations and companies and has become inclusive of academia,
corporate, government and non-profits. Individuals or organizations
can self-nominate themselves for this award.

More information about the award and nomination process
is available at the web site,
http://www.nsf.gov/pubs/2011/nsf11563/nsf11563.htm .

Please pass this on to others who may be interested.

                Thanks,

                Craig
