You'll be able to get a more complete answer from MathType Tech Support (support at dessci.com), but I'll give a summary:

1. On Windows, only MathType 6.9b will integrate into MS Office 2016.
2. On Mac, no version yet integrates into Office 2016. There are some things that work and some things that don't. If you'll write MathType Support, they can give complete information.

There will be a version of MathType for Mac Office 2016, but Design Science (makers of MathType) isn't yet projecting a release date.

Cheers,
Bob Mathews

Hi!
I'm not, but could you elaborate on the issues you're having?

Subject: [BlindMath] Math type with word 2016?

Anyone using math type with word 2016? I just installed math type, but unable to enter LaTex in word. Trying the usual method of hitting alt back slash to get to math mode, then entering the LaTex code for the equation, and pressing alt backslash again to get out of math mode.
Has something changed in word 2016?
