            The mention of the word "hypnosis" generally invokes images of people quacking like ducks or singing like Elvis. Sometimes it conjures up images of the wicked Sven Gali who would use hypnosis to force people to do his evil deeds. Stage hypnosis is only an illusion and Sven Gali is fiction! 

 

            "The phenomenon of hypnosis is one of the most powerful human experiences," says Certified Hypnotherapist Marion Gwizdala. "It is also one of the most misunderstood!"

 

            According to Gwizdala, who has been practicing hypnotherapy since 1991, the reality is that all hypnosis is self-hypnosis. It is not something that is done to you; rather, it is something that you do to yourself. The hypnotherapist is only the facilitator - a tour guide, of sorts - who teaches you how to achieve this natural state of consciousness.

 

            On Monday, January 3 at 8:00 pm EST, Gwizdala will facilitate a free teleseminar entitled "Hypnosis for Health & Personal Enhancement". This teleseminar will introduce you to the science of hypnotherapy, dispel the many myths about hypnosis, discuss the applications of self-hypnosis, share some interesting case studies and research, and answer questions from participants.
