Congratulations! Well done. What a feat. I know that getting the testing
board to make it accessible was a major undertaking.

Marion is still chuckling over his subject line; so glad I was raised with

Dear All,

I tried to find a better subject line, as I didn't want
anyone to get the wrong impression! President Merry Schoch has passed her
American Board of Social Work examination and is so beside herself she
cannot sit still! Merry took her examination using a partially accessible
test, including screen reading software, paving the way for others to do the
same! We are hoping ASWB and Pearson Vue will have the exam fully accessible
before our national convention so we can make that announcementKudos to
Merry for diligently pursuing accessible test procedures and removing those
varriers for others. Please join with me in congratulating Merry on her
passing grade and her leadership moving our field into equity with our
sighted peers!

Dear Marion:

I am truely saddened by the passing of our Merry President. I last spoke
with her on the bus after passing the licensure exam. Wait a second???
Pass the Test? Pass Away? Pass gas? Pass out with pleasure? The choices
are too many, I can't control my brain.

  HI listers
Is there a way I could get this scale whose info follows? Disability Factor
Scale General (DFS-G) (Siller et al., 1967)a
1 = strongly agree to 6 = strongly disagree (69 items) Multidimensional
scale composed of 7 subscales (e.g., interaction strain, rejection of
intimacy) measuring attitudes toward persons with various physical
disabilities and chronic illness.

Hi Denise and Marion,

It did scare me, initially; it had totally slipped my mind that Mary
should hear soon if she passed the exam. Boy was I relieved when I realized
what he meant.

Merry,

I've known Marion for at least 30 years and I agree that he has a sick sense
of humor. I, too didn't understand the subject line at first. I guess I
didn't understand the way the computer pronounced your name and I glossed
right over it. Then, later, I read several e-mails congratulating you and
looked at the first one I received. That's how I found out the real
meaning. Once again, congratulations. What an achievement.

Regards,

Denise

Unfortunately if you can't find a free copy on the internet, you'll need to
purchase it from the publisher, also available on the internet. I do have a

few inventories that I use with patients, but nothing as detailed as this,
which appears more research driven.

  HI listers
Is there a way I could get this scale whose info follows? Disability
Factor Scale General (DFS-G) (Siller et al., 1967)a
1 = strongly agree to 6 = strongly disagree (69 items)
Multidimensional scale composed of 7 subscales (e.g., interaction
strain, rejection of intimacy) measuring attitudes toward persons with
various physical disabilities and chronic illness.
