Journalist Colleagues,
"When I entered my place of worship this morning, the air was fierce with
the smell of coffee, tempered with the sweet sorrow of Evening in Paris."
I hope this lead will intrigue you to read more.
Thanks to those of you who helped me with advice and encouragement as I
began my blog. Some have also asked for an update, so here goes.
I welcome yu to visit
Windowsofthought.wordpress.com
There you will find my first 4 blogs, entitled:
Statehouse Fall-out
Cancer Ward - an Introduction
Notes on a September Night
And thus far my personal favorite,
Evening in Paris from my time-travel skyscraper (where you will find the
lead introducing this email.)
And here is just a little more about this writing site, which I encourage
you to visit and, if you wish, to share with other readers.
Welcome to my blog, and thank you for visiting. Once you go to the "follow"
tab near the bottom of this page and add your email, you will never need to
revisit the blog, since the several-paragraph sendings I plan to post three
times a week will arrive in your inbox automatically.
This online project is three -purposed. First and of most importance, it is
to provide you as my friends and my readers with what I intend as artistic
descriptions of thoughts and scenarios ranging from nature, to current
events, to philosophy and faith. The expectation of your enjoyment is the
stuff that motivates me to sweat it out here and try to write something
worth reading. Second, for myself as a writer, the blog provides an
"exercise room" for developing my descriptive powers and, I hope, holding
your interest as my thoughts and my writing progress. Third, think of it as
a scrimmage where "scouts" like agents, editors, publishers or other writers
may enjoy the game and possibly invite me to join their team. YOU NEVER
KNOW!
Best wishes to my fellow journalists and bloggers, and happy reading,
Elizabeth Sammons from Ohio
