The organization should be all walks of life, not just students.
Thanks.

Hello again,
Upon further consideration I am wondering if such a
division/group would be as effective if limited to a student
population? Would it have a greater voice if such a group was
composed of many others with multiple disabilities from other
walks of life?
If the focus is meant to be solely for multiply disabled students
then maybe the organizing needs to be within the structure of the
national Association of blind students. Maybe a committee as a
part of nabs would be a good start. If it were me, I would
contact the president of our National Student Division and/or a
member of our Student Division board of directors to gauge
interest/prospects/possibilities.
We have a very good mix of returning veteran leadership, and
infusion of incoming energetic, enthusiastic and talented
individuals that round out the 2014-2015 board. I encourage you
or anyone with any ideas that might even possibly serve to
benefit students around the country to get to know these folks.
As well, I know that each and every member of the board wants to
and will make good on their word to work with and get to know
you. So, sounds like a great opportunity to work together and
see what comes of it. Darian

 Hello,
I myself don’t have multiple disabilities, just blindness, but
I’d be more than happy to help such a division out and advocate
for those people.
Some of my close close friends are multiply disabled, and I have
a heart for that kind of advocacy.
If anything happens, let me know.

Good evening all, I hope everyone is doing well after
convention. A few months ago there was a thread about starting a
division or group of students who are interested in advocating
for people with multiple disabilities, whether they be
intellectual, physical, or mental. Is there still interest? I'm
still interested but was wondering if there are members who would
like to have a conference call to further discuss ideas. Thank
you for any responses.
