[NABS-L] “Speed Reading”

Hi Jonathon.
Besides increasing the speech rate, I personally have not found an effective way to skim or speed read, especially if the material is a textbook. You can of course find certain words or phrases or navigate by headings, but other than that, I have found that skimming just isn't an option when using audio formats.
I hope someone else has found a solution. __
	Have a great Tuesday!

    Hello All,

I have a question about reading: is there any way to “speed read” an audiobook other than making the reading speed faster? I know sighted individuals can scan paragraphs, look for highlighted words, speed read, etc. Is there any way to get through an audiobook or other file and still retain the important information?

    Best,
    Jonathan
