Jennifer,
I am also new to this list. I am also attempting to convince my parents that 
a guide dog will be a useful and necessary addition to the mobility toolbox. 
I am 18 years old and I am a junior in high school. So I still have a few 
years before I can move out. I would be interested in sharing notes with you 
about the quest to convince the parents. Good luck.
