[nagdu] New job, Cagney can't be with me

I had a similar job, same kind of deal. I was the only one in the basement switchboard room, from 3-11 PM. There was just me, no one else. About halfway through, e had someone come to take my dog out. Not a great solution, but that's what we came up with. I think that leaving your dog for that long at a time might have negative effects, but you know your dog better than we do, and it might be OK.
