[nagdu] tieing up a guide dog

Hello all,
I am a Licensed Massage Therapist. I really had to fight with my previous employer to allow me to bring my guide dog to the office. But, after they met him, everyone fell in love with him and he became the hit of the office. My room was really tiny, so I found it easier to keep him in the break room, where he had a bed, water, and a nylabone. He loved going in there to sleep all day, and I checked on him frequently.
At events in the community, I never tied him outside or far away from me. If he was on tie down, it was within a few feet from me so that I could check on him easily.
At the job I am at now, I have my own desk and Pascal lays on his bed under my computer. It's so nice to work at a place where there are a several guide dog users.
How awful for Harold to have his guide dog stolen. I can't even imagine!
Deanna and Pascal

Hi Darla.
I'm afraid we are still dealing with this nonsense on occasion. Ginger recently posted an article about a massage therapist in Canada being told to leave her dog somewhere else. She had to sue to get her rights, but I'm not sure that she got the job back.
