Hi all,
I talk to my dog a fir bit too. I have been told by my trainer that I need to talk more to her. Which I do and she also responds well to it. I sometimes worry if I'm not talking enough or too much but oh well. She usually gets sniffy if I get too quiet. My trainer said about every 20 to 30 feet or so say something like good girl, or something so that she knows you're still paying attention to her and so you can stay connected with your dog.
