[NAGDU] Airline history

We were reminded on The Seeing Eye conference call yesterday that the last
official thing Morris Frank did with the first Seeing Eye dog, back in the
late 1930's, was to get laws passed so a blind person could fly with a guide
dog without having to notify the airlines beforehand-just walk up and buy a
ticket, like everyone else. So it's almost 100 years of progress Delta is
trying to roll back.

I also mention, for the younger crowd, that airlines used to routinely try
to take away peoples' white canes. The NFB was still working to change that
in the 1980's, if memory serves.
