That was my thought, too.?? I know people with one eye who drive and do 
everything normally sighted people do except be pilots and probably join 
the military.?? I think it has to do with a dog's depth perception being 
so bad.?? They have a wide field of vision with both eyes, so I don't 
know if it's a 50% reduction in their field of vision compounded by poor 
depth perception or what.


I am curious about this in a weird way, not that I'd want my dog to lose 
an eye.?? But, at the same time, it would be kind of ironic, not to 
mention very cool to have a dog with vision loss working safely and 
successfully as a guide dog.?? But that's just my twisted mind at work.?? 
I really don't want to have to find out.
