Greetings Fellow Federation Family, 

It is with great sadness that I send this email.  The President of the
National Federation of the Blind White Sands Chapter, Mr. Larry Hayes passed
away today at 12-30 P.M.

A memorial service will take place later.  I will forward that information
when it is available. 

I will also send Peggy Hayes mailing address tomorrow.  

 

Larry served as chapter president in the White Sands Chapter In Alamogordo
and in the San Juan chapter in Farmington

He also was first vice president and treasurer of the state affiliate.  

We will all miss Larry's leadership in our state affiliate. He touched many
lives as a member of the National Federation of the Blind and an employee of
the New Mexico Commission for the blind.  

 

Our thoughts and prayers are with Peggy and all of his family.
