Greetings:

Did you know? There are four vibrant Chapters of the National Federation of
the Blind in New Mexico! Three of them are considered "local" and one is a
statewide chapter and is meant to allow those who do not have a local
chapter in their area to still retain membership in the National Federation
of the Blind. The following information is meant as a reminder to all of us
which local chapter serves which area and how to join each chapter. I
encourage those of you who have not plugged into a chapter to get involved
in 2025. The chapter information below is organized alphabetically and has a
heading level one style for easier navigation for those using a screen
reader.

Albuquerque Chapter:

German Benitez, President

local chapter is intended for those who primarily live or work in the
eastern half of Albuquerque and surrounding areas including south to Los
Lunas and Belen.

intended for everyone who does not have a local chapter in their local area
from across the state. This chapter meets via Zoom on the 4th Tuesday of the
month from 7:00PM to 9:00PM.

around San Juan County as well as the four corners to include Arizona,
Colorado and Utah.

West Mesa Chapter:

Noon at Paradise Hills United Methodist Church in-person. Zoom is available

those living and/or working on the West half of Albuquerque and surrounding
areas to include Rio Rancho, Corrales, etc.

I encourage everyone to consider joining their local chapter, bringing your
wealth of experience, talent, and other resources to the most transformative
organization of blind people in the country.

Thank you,
