Kathy Byrd passed away on Saturday, March 21, 2026 at La Vida Llena Health Care in Albuquerque.  Born in Columbus, Ohio in 1948, she was 78 years old and had valiantly fought debilitating dementia and arthritis.

Kathy served as NFBNM Treasurer under both the presidencies of Art Schreiber and Christine Hall.  She also volunteered and helped support the organization in many ways.  She will always be remembered for her great sense of humor, intelligence, her faith in God, and her caring for family, friends, church, and community.  She loved living in New Mexico and being a part of the Albuquerque community.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, April 17, 2026 from 2 - 4 at La Vida Llena Retirement Community, 10501 Lagrima de Oro Rd. NE, Albuquerque, NM.
