Mike,
My understanding is that it is not accessible.
Is this student still going to be in high school, or are they starting college? What STEM program is the student doing. There are tons of resources.
I am the President of the Colorado Association of Blind Students and am myself majoring in Biology. I work with many blind STEM students and would be happy to talk to you and/or the student and help with some more resources. And would love to get your student connected with blind students that can help. Also, someone who knows a whole lot about this and someone I have spoken with specifically in regards to 3D printing is
Clara Van Gerven,
Manager of Accessibility Programs at the Jernigan Institute. I could give you her contact info, if your interested. Just send me am email, if you like.
