HI Chris, thanks for the suggestions.

Based on my research the programs that you have recommended seem like they are for generating the waves, but do not control any physical equipment. is this correct?

That helps, but I am looking for how to control the Lab equipment without sighted assistance.

Regards
Santi

Both PRAAT and Audacity are freeware. The others cost, though GoldWave is relatively inexpensive compared with Adobe Audition which I think is somewhere around $300 or so, though it has been a long time since I have checked the price on it. For PRAAT and Adobe Audition, you will likely be using math more than the graphical waves themselves, though if you have something such as a 3D printer or thermoform printer, you may be able to view the graphical images if you have no vision. Depending upon what you need to do, you may be able to get away with just focusing on the numbers themselves rather than having to physically observe the graphics.
