Brian, the reason this Brailler costs so much, is because there's a
computer built into it. You can put your work in Braille, on regular
Braille paper, and it will save the same work in it's computer
program. The Brailler can then be plugged up to a computer, and you
can print off the work for your instructor. This will replace the need
for a Braille embosser, and you can print your work out. You get hard
copy Braille, and print for the instructor. It's a win-win. BTW, a few
years ago, the DSB was charged $5000 for my first Perkins. What's up
with that? And also, I heard on the other list, (NABS,) that the
plastic ones break easily.
