[nfb-talk] Stupidity running amuck on the Colbert Report!

Well, not quite. I've met folks who had someone say they need a dog when
they really didn't want one. I've also heard folks, especially mobility
folks insist that we shouldn't be using our dogs. I like dogs. Sometimes I
don't want one everywhere I go but usually, I have one with me. I didn't get
my first guoide until about 5 years ago. I used a cane and did it well! i am
glad I'm versitile. Dogs have much more responsibility attached to them than
dogs do. Before one can make a choice they need to learn the skills first
and that''s the real point. I've seen folks who have almost no cane skills
having dogs. Iether because they didn't learn them in the first place or
because they've had dogs so long that they have lost the skill from lack of
practice. In each case, I think its not a good thing.
