[nfb-talk] Here he comes...

That's certainly true, and you need an aggressive press. Trump needs to
grow up and get over his anger towards the media, because he will be dealing
with them every day for the next 4 years.

Trump was complaining about an estimate that put the attendance for his
inauguration at only 250,000. The NYT and CNN web sites have
photographs that show the crowd last Friday was much smaller than that
for President Obama in 2009 or even for the protest march the day after
the inauguration.

It doesn't have to be like this. Other politicians have made mistakes.
There was the time Hillary Clinton claimed she had had to dodge sniper
fire at an airport overseass while serving as First Lady. Video of her
getting off the plane showed her walking calmly up to a little girl and
accepting a bouquet. What had happened was that she had conflated news
reports of snipers somewhere nearby with what happened to her. I have
little doubt that's what happened with President Trump when he said
Moslems in New Jersey celebrated in the streets on 911. He got mixed up
with reports of people in egypt and Iran celebrating on 911. When
Hillary Clinton was shown evidence that she hadn't been under sniper
fire, she said she must have misremembered and apologized. Donald Trump
claimed the media was out to get him.

It is important for those of us who love the United States to not give
in to this garbage about the free press not being trustworthy. They
make mistakes. Sometimes they are slanted. But we've survived these
inperfections, and that is all they are, for over 200 years. It's every
American's patriotic duty to not give into this stuff.
