Dear Members,

I hope all of you are doing well. Last month I began searching for a residential program that would allow me to refine my daily living skills. My quest began with the Perkins School For The Blind in Watertown, Massachusetts. I soon discovered that they do not serve any blind adults over the age of twenty-two.

I also contacted the three Nfb training centers, but I was not satisfied with there program costs. The next day I came across the Rehabilitation Center For The Blind here in Daytona Beach, Florida. Last week my parents and I took a tour of the Center, and we were impressed with what we saw. The facilities were clean and all of the staff members were professional. I will be participating in the Independent Living Skills Program offered at the Rehab Center. How do I prepare to leave my family to attend training?
