[nfb-talk] Purpose of List

Hi all!
In my apponyon, it’s totally ok to talk about blindness on this list but we do have to mind its rules. However, I’m not against having a list that talks politics. However, I’m also not against having one on the NFB list serves and/or moving such discussions over to the ACB. I feel that there needs to be a place to have political discussions. However, I know that they can get heated. There is always that risk. But it’s all up to us to dare to take the risk or not. The same risk applies to religian and we totally have a few of those lists on the list serves. So, why not politics too? Where is the place for freedom of speech in the NFB list serves? So far, I haven’t compleetly seen it. But I have seen a lot of lists that applies to spasific topics within the NFB and blindness itself. I’m not knocking that either because I’m on a number of them and they are actually helpful. For example, I have found the science and ingenerring list as well as the math list and even the environmental list all very useful. But also, ask yourselves, “where is the right place for freedom of speech?” as you think about this one.

Thank you for taking the time to read this E Mail!
Blessed be!!!

So your criticism of me is invalid for that reason alone. But more importantly, I have every right to express my opinion on what the purpose of this list should be. I happen to hold the opinion that the purpose of this list should be changed. There is nothing unethical about me expressing that opinion.
