> The Phoenix chapter held its September meeting this past weekend and one of
> the subjects we discussed had to do with the hurricane Harvey relief fund.
> What happened in Texas was tragic and we need to help our brothers and
> sisters in need. In our treasury, we have a line item that is allocated for
> just this instance. Our reserve fund, we call, "the basket fund and "is set
> up to help our members that are in trouble. Not only did the Phoenix chapter
> set aside $50, we also donated some of our own money.
> At this point, we have a total of $88 set aside to help. This will grow,
> because not everyone had cash on hand, so more and more will be contributed.

> This email is a call to arms, urging our other chapter president's and
> division presidents to go to their board and do the same. 
> at our meeting, we discussed that we'd overall, would like to adopt a
> family. However, I know it will take more than just $100 to do so. Let's
> join, as an entire state affiliate, and help those in need, our fellow
> Federationists, the best we can.
