Dear East Valley,
The following message was forwarded by the Phoenix chapter to invite you to their annual Christmas party.
There is a minor correction. The Christmas party is not this weekend. It will be next weekend on December 9th.

Hello dear members, friends and supporters of the National Federation of the blind of Arizona Phoenix chapter.

Do any of you feel the Christmas spirit yet? Do you feel like Christmas? Do you feel like celebrating? Then come with us and celebrate the most popular birthday in the history of the world.
The National Federation of the blind of Arizona Phoenix chapter is celebrating our annual Christmas party this Saturday, December 9. From 4 o'clock to 7:00 PM.
And for the third consecutive year,  we are celebrating at Claim Jumper, in Tempe. The complete address for your GPS is, 1530 West Baseline Road, Tempe, Arizona 85283-1046. The telephone number, just in case you want to call them is, 480-831-8200. The web-page to look up the menu is, www.claimjumper.com. Claim Jumper is a 100% trans-fat free restaurant. Gluten sensitive menu available.
We are going to have a 50-50 raffle, the cost of the ticket will be one for two dollars, and three for five dollars. The proceedings from this fundraiser, will benefit the Phoenix chapter of the NFBA.
There will also be a gift exchange table, if you want to bring a present, the limit is $10. We ask you that you please label your present as female, male, or neutral. We are going to make sure that if you bring a present, you leave The party with a present. Also, please be nice, don't bring any presents that you don't want to receive. Think about it, if you do that, and somebody else does the same thing, you might get something that somebody else doesn't want, and you may not like it either. Get in the Christmas mood, and bring something pretty, something that you may want to receive one day.
Also, following the Phoenix chapters tradition of giving back to the community during Christmas season, we will present the fruits of our year-long Christmas project to the nonprofit organisation St. Vincent de Paul, this benefits our community from Our Lady Of The Valley Catholic Church.
And now, we save the best for last! This year we are going to be privileged with The beautiful sound of Christmas carols!
So please, join the Phoenix Chapter in this beautiful celebration. Come and have fun while you sing, and benefit your chapter. And if you are from another chapter, you are more than welcome to attend. In fact, if you come to our party, we will go to yours. This is not a threat, we really mean it. Don't forget it! Saturday, December 9 from 4 PM to 7 PM. We would hope to see you there.
 Sincerely,

Megan Homrighausen
