Hi Everett,

Yes, the Leopard install is accessible, although knowing a few  
Voiceover commands will be helpful. There is some documentation that  
might be helpful at:

That should get you going.

Also, understand that you will interact with your computer in a  
somewhat different way than you're used to with Windows. Don't let  
this frustrate you. Just know there will be a learning curve.
