[nfbcs] JAWS and Selecting Blocks of Text

Joe,

I am not a JFW user but have heard that JFW intercepts the text selection keys and does its own thing. I don't know if that is true or not. However, there is
a mode in Word that lets you turn on the ability to select text. The F8 key can do this. It rotors through other options as well including the ability to
automatically select specific units of text. If you press F8 once, you will hear Extended Selection on. You can then select your text with the arrow keys
without a shift key. Once you have the text you want, copy or cut it to the clipboard and that will also turn extended selection mode off. You shouldn't have
to do this, but taking this approach might get you around whatever the difficulty is with JFW.

Best regards,

Steve Jacobson
