[nfbcs] computer speakers with built-in headphone jack

Hi all -- My speakers have a jack in front, but I am the only person awake
and don't know the company that makes them. I have had them for some time
and really like them. They have good sound that boosts up to where I can use
them in front of a classroom of noisy children and they can hear them.
I think I paid just under $100 for them.
When someone else is awake I'll ask what they are.
I should have paid attention, but at the time I bought them I didn't care
what they were as long as they were louder than my laptop's speaker.

Note, one reason it is probably better to use a switch on the jack on the
computer is that when the power goes out, the computer keeps running on
batteries but the speakers cut out. If headphones are plugged into the
speakers I am afraid they might go out as well. (I just had a power outage
recently. and had to unplug my speakers to hear jaws.)

Happy listening.

Jim:

The Bose speakers do have a headphone jack in the front.

Curtis,

Do these have a headphone jack? It didn't look like it from the
amazon description I read, I'm wondering if I'm looking at the wrong
speakers.

Thanks,

Jim
