Hi Zeeshan.
Bookshare.org has *lots* of books on programming and computers, so many it's 
hard to know which to choose.

I learned programming through a certificate program.  Like you, I didn't 
want to waste another 4 years going to school, so I found a year-long 
program that had ties to businesses, so there might actually be people 
willing to hire me when I finished.  However, that was 25 years ago, and I 
don't know if that path still works.  The program I went through went way 
downhill shortly after I graduated.  For once, I got in at the right time.

I don't know if age is a factor in learning.  It is a factor in hiring. 
Companies are not keen to hire people over 50, for various reasons.

It took considerable energy and effort for me to learn programming, but it 
was well worthwhile.
