That is not true. We should not be forced to use for our own use things that
don't work well for us. I use Windows 7 at work, but that does not mean that
I have to use it at home just to learn it.

Is it worth doing?  That depends on HOW you use the computer, honestly.

Dual booting means that you have the choice of which operating system (
version of windows ) you can use at startup.  While you CAN access files
from one version to another, it can sometimes be a nightmare to keep track
of where everything is.
Plus, you have to give up hard drive space for two versions of windows.

I know that using Windows 8 is tough, and if Internet Explorer 10 is still
buggy, too, then I'd consider looking for  better options too.  The problem
with that is, if you don't learn Win 8, you're not up to date, less
employable, and you'll have to make the jump anyways.
