[nfbcs] iOS 7 and Suggestions?

I am one who always preaches to my kids about not upgrading right away, let someone else get the bugs out, be on the trailing side
of the leading edge of technology and all that. However, I went ahead and installed IOS 7 on an Iphone 5 and so far have not had
any problems.

I read the BLOG entry below and don't really see much that is any more flaky than some of what I found as a new user of IOS 6, but
I am sure there will be some bugs that will surface. I did not get the "Push" that Ian mentioned as such. I had to go into
settings, General, Software Updates and the IOS 7 update was listed there. A friend of mine had an extremely long download time
during the day yesterday, but last night it downloaded in about ten minutes, but that will depend on the speed of one's
connection as well. I believe the download was about 750 megabytes, so one will want to be connected to WI-FI if one is on a plan
with
limited data.

The biggest reason I took the plunge is that I am new enough to IOS 6 that I didn't want to spend more time learning things I
might have to unlearn. There are always risks in being the first, and one should weigh whether there is something they need now
rather than waiting a bit to see if something emerges as a big problem, but my initial experience has not been too bad. From what
Dave said, though, one might want to be careful if one has an iPhone 4S. Also, I noticed as have some others that when IOS 7
first comes up that it seems to cycle through languages. I'm not certain what would have happened had I tapped when it was
speaking another language, I waited until I heard English. It also took my phone a long time to come to life after the install.
It could be I was lucky. Common sense dictates that one only do this when they have a lot of time since there are variables, and
if one is heavily dependent on their phone, it makes sense to have a backup plan.

Best regards,

Steve Jacobson
