[nfbcs] Need someone to take my website and rebuild it on a different host

Hello April:
I'm not really sure what the "something else" connection is that you're
talking about. The purpose of a web host has not changed over the past 5
years: it serves up content to the user. Any web host should work like
google does, with the exception that content will be added, edited or
removed through different ways. For example one will usually use FTP to
upload webpages and content.

WThe idea behind Wordpress is to make it a CMS (content management
system). This gives you something like you're more familiar with in
terms of google sites, but it does need to be installed on a web host,
which I think is what you were talking about. You can also use a free
wordpress blog, but you will not get to change themes and add add-ons, etc.

If you're looking for a cheap web host, I recommend Dreamhost. I moved
away from them to a linode so I could manage everything, but for a low
traffic site it would be perfect.
If you have any questions feel free to shoot me an email. I do web
development on the side and would be happy to point you in the right
direction if possible. My email is tyler at tysdomain.com.

When I did design outside of Google, the web host was the host, and you didn't have a host and something else. I'm confused. When i login to Google Pages to work on my sites, it's all in one place.

I didn't like Wordpress's blog, and left it years ago, because it became too confusing, and was not viewable, or work with able for people with low vision.
