[nfbcs] Need someone to take my website and rebuild it on a different host

Hello Tyler,

Yes I think will need help setting it up. Maybe once I get it up, I'll be fine. I hope.

Hello Jim Barbour,

I have two reasons for leaving Google Pages.

    1. The site as a whole cannot be backed up.

     2. As a writer, I really should have a more professional appearing domain that doesn't have Google, or another site's name, attached.

Honestly, I'm not exactly sure what the other three things you said are. Then again, I may know what they are, just not know what their correct terms are.

My knowledge is likely pretty simplistic. I know how to code the XHTML. Copy and paste the HTML into the box for the page. Hit publish, and hope it works. I used to know how to do CSS sheets, and have forgotten how. I need to relearn. So, yeah, it needs to be pretty simple.

I am waiting to hear back from one person. If Tyler agrees, maybe we can chat on Sunday, or Tuesday, and walk me thought the initial set up of the Wordpress website. Sorry, I am not able to on Monday.

Thanks everyone,

April Brown

Also, wordpress is no longer synonymous with blog, as it can be used to manage websites. A lot of people prefer to use a CMS system to allow them to create pages through a web interface and not have to write the HTML.

When I did design outside of Google, the web host was the host, and you didn't have a host and something else. I'm confused. When i login to Google Pages to work on my sites, it's all in one place.

I didn't like Wordpress's blog, and left it years ago, because it became too confusing, and was not viewable, or work with able for people with low vision.
