That was one of my concerns as well. I always tell students that it isn't a question of if your technology fails, it is when. There is still no substitute for good travel techniques, social skills, and training.

This is absolutely true, though not uncommon. While I agree with the first part as well (marketing hyperbole), the above really needs to be underscored. The trend towards "Our technology makes the poor pathetic lives of the disabled slightly less poor and pathetic" is really a problem.
