I want to thank all of you who responded to my post about helping a software
engineer maintain his job. I contacted him last evening to say that there
were a number of posts written to help him, and he asks that I express his
appreciation for them and let you know that he has every intention of
posting an email to this list clarifying what he does and what he needs. As
many of you acknowledged in your posts, the challenge that faces him as a
person who is going blind is significant. Add to this his responsibilities
as a family man with young children and a community volunteer, and you can
see that the word busy doesn't begin to express how much he has on his
plate.

I don't think any of us can say that participating in the workaday world
isn't a significant challenge. It was hard enough for me that I don't know
how I would've handled the onset of some kind of disability that
substantially altered the way I had to deal with the computer. Thank you
again for all that you have done in trying to help Graham. I trust we will
see a post from him very soon.

Warmly,

Gary
