Hello William,

For the moment, if you are doing mathematics, you will be better off with NVDA. Try NVDA and see if you still have this issue.

JAWS 2019 should have greater math capability.

Subject: [nfbcs] Question about IDLE with Braille display

Hi there,

I am currently learning Python, and using IDLE to write basic strings of code. Once input into the shell, I use my Focus Forty Braille Display to read it. However, I have noticed something that the folks at Freedom Scientific weren't able to answer for me when I gave them a call. Once I press Enter, the display's focus goes back to the top of the window, and I have to thumb key all the way back through everything I've written to get to where I just was. My questions are: are there any ways of making the display stay at the position I left it in to begin with, and or any efficient ways of navigating this type of environment using the tools I have? I'm using JAWS 2018 with the latest software update, and a Focus Forty Blue fifth generation display.

Thanks

William
