Are there active scripts when you are in this terminal program? What do you see in the Script Manager if you type Ins+0, using the 0 above the letter p that is, while in the emulator? If you do this, just close the Script
Manager when done with Alt+F4. Do not save any changes.

"advance" to read the right side of the line, it moves over for a
nanosecond, then jumps back to where it was. If I find something in edit,
it starts rapidly shifting right and left, so it's unusable.

So far as I can tell, the settings for Hummingbird on the laptop and my work
desktop are the same, though Hummingbird's font settings just say larger and
smaller, so I can't tell the exact size, and it does make a difference in
how well Jaws reads the screen.

The speech is OK in both places; it's the braille that's all wonky.

Can anyone point me in a useful direction? I have not asked the charmers at
Jaws Tech Support yet. From past experience, their knowledge of remote
desktop and terminal emulation is nonexistent.
